At 15, I escaped Iran through blizzards in the mountains, not knowing if I'd survive. That Journey taught me something profound: freedom isn't just physical; it's mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Years later, after building a career in science, I drifted from my true purpose, because I became too comfortable. That drift pushed me out of science and years later I found myself drowning in pursuit of my "What" instead of my "Why".
Shortly after I was diagnosed with cancer. That's when everything became clear.
A crucial lesson I have learned through my journey is that, sometimes, the storms that feel like they're destroying us, may actually be saving us from a bigger disaster. But we need perspective to see it.
This is why I understand my clients so deeply. As a scientist who stumbled into leadership, I know the gap between technical excellence and leading people. Now I help technical experts bridge that gap—so they can lead with confidence and authenticity, without waiting for crisis to force clarity.
When I was a PhD student, I attended a workshop led by a Nobel Prize winner. I was thrilled—here's one of the most brilliant minds in the world. I was expecting an inspiring and mind-blowing lecture. But his lecture was one of the most boring I've ever sat through. If I didn't have a genuine love for science, his lecture would have made me quit science.
Later, I learned from other scientists in his lab that he was like that the whole time: dry, very technical, almost no empathy for others. Although good science was coming out from his lab, people in his team were struggling and couldn't wait to be done and leave.
That's when I realized something crucial: Technical brilliance and leadership excellence are not the same thing.
I've been where you are. As a scientist and former professor, I understand what it's like to be promoted into leadership without training. I've navigated that gap myself.
Now, as a speaker, trainer, and coach, I help scientists and technical professionals transform from brilliant experts into confident leaders. Whether through coaching, team training, or speaking, I help you bridge the gap between technical excellence and leadership excellence—so you can lead with authenticity and impact.
I don't believe in motivational fluff or temporary inspiration. I believe in raw stories, deep reflection, and practical tools that move people from awareness to action. As a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team member, I incorporate the leadership and personal development principals taught by John Maxwell.
